About Jester and Billy - Located in Gowanbrae
Jester and Billy, a pair of best friends and lovers until the end of time - these two special boys are looking for their forever home together.
With a less than ideal start to life, being in a warm home was a slight adjustment, but now they are enjoying the finer things in life like sitting under the heater vent, having a giant bed and a freshly filtered water fountain. Despite the name, Jester is a true king, and Billy, his sidekick.
Jester is the extrovert of the pair, greeting visitors with a range of chirps and meows, and asking graciously for head pats. He loves to have a conversation, regardless of the topic, especially if you’re telling him he’s an excellent boy. He loves being brushed and he will flop over and purr like an engine if you get the right spot. He absolutely loves his feather toy and is quite the funny predator when trying to attack it. He does love his food very much, and will let you know when it’s time for his dinner.
Billy, a soft, sweet shy little man who comes out of his shell after some time. His best friend has helped him to be more outgoing, but he can still want to retreat to his safe space which is usually under a bed. He loves to explore and cuddle up to you, and if you have treats, he is there. He absolutely loves a crunchy snack and this is a sure fire way to get his attention and affection. He is such a chill man, allowing you to trim his nails, clean his eyes and brush him - maybe he just knows he’s being pampered?
Together, they’re a special pairing who love each other endlessly, and being able to experience such a flourishing bond between them has stolen everyone’s hearts. They love to cuddle and groom each other, and with their opposite fur colourings, they blend into one another like yin and yang.
Both boys are FIV+, which does not limit or change their lives in any way, however regular vet check ups and being up to date on flea/worm treatments and vaccinations is ideal. They are strictly indoor cats. Weight management for Jester is also important, but super easy to manage with set feeding times.

Medical notes
The adoption fee includes desexing, microchip, current vaccination, flea and worm treatment while in care.
FIV positive cats live a normal life for many many years and we cannot predict the life span of these cats. FIV positive cats sometimes have a scruffy coat and the condition can lead to chronic recurrent infections in the mouth, eye and skin. FIV cannot infect people, however it can infect other cats through bite wounds commonly from fights. FIV positive cats can co-exist with other cats that don't have FIV without issues.
We encourage that the cat is either an indoor cat or a confined cat - eg access to a cat run outdoors. We recommend regular vet visits (6 monthly) to monitor weight, coat changes, mouth etc.
