About Lewis
Hi, my name is “Lewis”, Chally said they named me in honour of a very special person who sadly passed away this year. His family adopted a dog from Chally a few years back and Lewis was a big animal lover. I am the perfect boy to be named Lewis because I also have a big loving heart.
My foster dad calls me Lewis the Love Bug, I’m a bit of a big clumsy boy and I’m full of beans at time but gosh do I love a nice big snuggle with my people. I love all people ages and sizes, all dogs, and cats too.
I have been learning to walk on lead, I know how to sit, wait for food, sleep in my crate (I need a big one) and I’m toilet trained. I love to please my people so try really hard when I’m getting shown new things to learn.
I would love to go on fun adventures with my new family and it would be great if they already had a fun, well trained dog to play with and show me the ropes. I wouldn’t like to be left alone a lot or I will get bored and like a typical big puppy my age I will find my own fun things to do.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.

• You have a very large size yard.
• Lewis will not be alone more than 4hrs.
• You will allow Lewis to be part of the family and allow him access to indoors.
• You WILL enroll him in obedience training.
• You WILL provide him with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
• You have experience with his breeds or have thoroughly researched them.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer including FULL details on mental and physical stimulation you intend to provide will be considered. You will also need to include details on the obedience club you will be attending and what knowledge you have on her breeds. PLEASE NOTE: if you provide basic details only, we will not process your application, nor will you receive any further communications.

Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
