About Iggy
Based in Horsham Rural Victoria
Needs a quiet child free home.
Needs another cat in the home.
Total indoor home.
Iggy is a mixed bag of long hair kitten mischief. Iggy's estimated birth date is 11/4/2021.
She will certainly rule her home with the diva attitude of Beyoncé. During the day she will roam, climb and investigate every area and find random things to pick up and carry around. When roaming, she feels vulnerable on the floor and will not respond well to being spooked or someone trying to pick her up. In the afternoons she finds a prime place to stretch out and get some zzzz’s. In the early mornings and evenings she is a snuggle bug.
In the evening, she’ll attend the couch for head bumps and pats and a little bit of lap time but prefers to snuggle beside you. She loves sleeping between her foster mum and dad and purrs long into the night. When it’s time to wake, she alerts us by bouncing across the bed chasing lumps and bumps, even if her clock doesn’t match ours and it’s 4am.
Iggy loves to play with humans- her favourite is long pieces of ribbon on which she will play tug. She also loves being brushed and will start rolling around to get the most out of the brushing- just don’t touch her tummy or the brush will be attacked with diva attitude.
Iggy is not suitable for a home with little children. She would be fine with gentle and respectful children 10 years and above who understand that she doesn’t like to be chased.
After being found under an olive tree, anything that comes at her from above is very scary for her. Iggy will react buy lashing out in pure fright.
She loves and adores other cats but will need a feline friend who is very sure of themselves and prepared to put her in her place. She can use that diva attitude to be very rough - basically, she can be a bit of a bully.
Iggy can not go outside. Due to hating anything coming from above her, she will not be able to be caught or approached and is at risk of running away if spooked. Her fur is also too long for grass seeds, leaves and other bits and pieces. Even in the house she can sometimes pick up prickles that have come in on shoes. She shows no desire for the outside world, not even watching the world go by out the window.
Iggy goes to her new home desexed, microchipped, flea and worm treated and had two vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $250.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
