The application process can take up to 2 weeks so please allow this much time for us to get in contact with you regarding whether you have been successful or not.
If you have made it through the first round, we may contact you by phone for more information.

NOTE: You are unable to meet Taj until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet (name) in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A quiet & mature family/household - this is what I am used too
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who'll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy and we must be introduced slowly.
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence
• Secure fencing
• A family that will take me out to meet and play with other dogs.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people which can result in nipping
• Other dogs - I LOVE other dogs but I harass them too much so a home with no dogs is recommended but I need lots of socialisation and doggy play mates outside of the home.

My best features:
• Placid
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other dogs

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I am extremely timid in new situations such as entering a building/home. I MUST have a family who'll allow me inside so I can see it isn't a scary place and to allow my confidence to grow..

AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO THE SHELTER TO MEET TAJ IN PERSON.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET TAJ BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
