Yoshi deserves to be treated as his Japanese name suggests. It means to be 'respected'.

You see CARMAR received a late afternoon phone call from our wonderful Veterinary clinic asking us to please take on yet another animal that had been brought to the clinic simply to be euthanised because he was 'getting under their feet and meowing a lot'

We know there are indeed legitimate reasons for people to surrender their pets but when we, and no doubt all the Veterinarians and their amazing teams hear day in day out hear these sort of pathetic lame excuses, it gets our blood boiling.

If you can't do your homework about the breed characteristics & personality of a chosen pet, and looking after another sentient being for their entire life( atleast 10-15 years) then don't get one!

Thankfully Yoshi had someone looking out for him that afternoon, and now does indeed get a 2nd chance to be respected and loved like he so richly deserves for the rest of his life.

Yoshi is truly magnificent.
Under his regal mane and very floofy tail is the most affectionate and chatty cat!
And he does indeed go floppy when you pick him up for a cuddle just like his apparent cross breeding suggests.

He follows his foster carer around like a dog and chats all the while, telling all and sundry about his day.
Once you sit down he lovingly jumps up to cuddle next to you on the couch or on your bed, and then his chatter ceases as he falls into a luxurious purring sleep.

He is slowly becoming accustomed to living in a multi cat household but we think Yoshi would prefer a one on one relationship with loving, caring, understanding humans only.

Yoshi will often let you know what he has been upto, mewing and chirping so you will never feel alone while he is around.

Yoshi loves his little luxuries like having his luxurious long coat brushed daily to keep it, and him in tip top condition.

He is very affectionate to his human/s but wary around other animals.

He would definitely suit a family, an older or retired couple or a single person working from home that enjoys and can give him the attention he craves.

All CARMAR Cats & Kittens are fostered in Echuca ,Victoria which is 3 hours North of Melbourne.

All our CARMAR cats and Canines are fostered in carers homes,so are used to the comings and goings ,noises ,smells and environments of a normal household. They are all desexed, michrochipped,vaccinated,wormed, flea free, kitty litter and catflap trained.

They are currently inside cats with access to secure outdoor #catnipcatenclosures
