About Dyna
Hi, My name is Dyna and I am cute as a button and sweet as fairy floss! My foster hoomans describe me as a total sweetheart! I will treat you to countless more acts of cuteness every day should I be your newest friend! I love all toys, squeaky ones, fluffy ones, chewy ones….all of them really! But my absolute favourite would have to be tennis balls! My foster folks say I play with tennis balls like a cat with a ball of wool, tossing them in the air and chasing them.
I also love zoomies! I will do them anywhere and everywhere; my favourite place is out in the backyard so I have lots of room for extra speed! Sometimes I combine my new two favourite things…tennis balls and zoomies and have an even better time! Its so much fun!
My new family will need to continue to help me increase my confidence around new experiences and unfamiliar sounds, I can also find other dog breeds scary sometimes! I can be adopted as an only dog if my family are home more often than not or could also live with another easy going greyhound.
Summary:
- WFH or part time workers (somewhere with people home more often than not) OR somewhere with another greyhound for companionship.
- Must have backyard / courtyard
- NOT cat friendly or tested with small dogs
- NO children under 10 years of age
Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
Click 'Enquire about this pet' to contact us or email us at adoptions@greytgreys.org to express interest in the hound that you are looking at. We'll send you an EOI form, this must be returned before proceeding.
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $350.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
