About Athena ^^Dandy Cat Rescue^^
🐱🐱 $250 adoption fee 🐱🐱
Athena is a beautiful little tabby girl who was rescued after being separated from her mumma and siblings when she was less than five weeks old – and she was left to fend for herself for days. Athena came into our care very scared and timid, and with a suspected hearing issue.
After close observation over the weeks and three vet examinations of her ears, no issue was discovered with her hearing. Athena sometimes reacts to loud noises and other times she is too chilled out to react. We cannot be sure if she is selectively deaf or just isn’t fazed by loud noises all the time – and that a good thing!
Athena is a very healthy, happy, playful kitten who absolutely adores the company of other cats. However this pretty girl can be a little shy around new humans, so she will need a patient adopter who can give her some time and space to adjust to her new home.
Athena is best suited to a larger home with one or more non-aggressive cats because she loves to skip (not walk) 😁 around the house exploring and checking out what the other pets are up to.
She’s not much of a lap cat (yet) so she would suit an adopter/family who don’t want a very clingy kitty because she doesn’t crave human attention. However this gorgeous kitten will most likely snooze and play with you other cat/s, watch tv or chase invisible things across the floor, skipping or cantering like a pony of course.
Athena does not have an aggressive or mean streak in her at all. She is incredibly passive, and is at her best around other cats. And with the right slow and careful introductions over time Athena would be fine with a small, cat-friendly dog too.
Located in Carrum Downs.
