About Gingerbread
Hello my name is Gingerbread and I’m a 5yo Wolfhound X.
I currently weigh 50kg - carrying an extra few kilos I need to lose…. A “diet” they say!
I’m a super friendly boy and I’m good with kids of all sizes. I mix well with other dogs.
My foster mum says I’m great on lead and lovely to walk. I’ve been travelling well in the back of a ute lately - as I don’t fit their smaller car.
I normally have good recall - unless I’m distracted following along with my doggy friends down the beach…. Did I mention I love hanging out down the beach meeting people and other dogs?
I’m house trained - but did have a couple of accidents marking my territory at the new foster house. Oops!
I don’t mind my own company and am quite chilled when I’m home without my humans.
I’m a big boy with lots of love to give from my equally big heart and I just love my human cuddles. I’m a big softie and everyone who meets me tells me I’m a real sweetheart.
The only reason I’m looking for a new home is because my other mummy had to move accommodation and couldn’t find a “dog friendly” rental.
Not cat friendly.
MEDICAL
I’m currently taking pills for a touch of arthritis. Losing that extra weight will also help with this problem.

Adoption details
All dogs are vet checked, desexed, microchipped, C3 vaccinated, wormed, heartworm and flea/tick treated.
ADFC house all dogs with foster carers in private homes. This allows them to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. We then have an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dog may suit your family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial - $50 deposit. If the dog doesn't fit with your family, they will be returned to us and deposit refunded.

The committee and carers of ADFC are all volunteers, so please be patient with us if we don't answer your enquiry straight away.
