Champ

Champ is a sweet, playful dog. He has a short, easy care coat and lovely markings.

When he came into care, he was very shut down but has really come out of his shell.
He has limited life experience. He spent all of his life in a yard with little human interaction and having to compete with other dogs for food.

He is now much more confident with people and is discovering the world. He can be nervous when seeing new things (like traffic) but gains confidence from his person.
His new owner will need to gradually introduce him to new things in a way that he will not be overwhelmed. He has the foundation to adapt, but will need a little time.

He can be bossy with other dogs so is best suited to a home as an only dog. At the moment, he is not the sort of dog you can take to dog parks, cafes etc. Please bear this in mind before applying.

He is also not suitable for a home with cats or other small pets.

He will flourish in the right situation. He is available to an experienced home.
