About Betty
Hi there - I'm Betty and I currently live with my sister Bailey in a fabulous foster home. Let me tell you why my foster home is so great. Firstly, I have a foster mum and a foster dad. They love me and I love them. My foster mum says I am a very polite and gentle young pup who loves getting (and giving) loves of cuddles and snuggles. I also like being picked up - although I probably will grow to be quite big so my picking-up days will be numbered!
Secondly I also live with not one, but two - yes two - canine brothers and I love them both. Especially the big one. I just love chasing him around and playing.
Thirdly, also in my house there are these cute fluffy things called ""ferrets"" which I am quite interested in - but I just follow them around the house and never try to hurt them.
I am currently learning my manners including how to sit nicely for my treats. Also I am very good with doing number two's in the garden, but number one's are still a bit confusing to me. But no doubt I'll get there soon as I am rather clever you see.
Although I haven't had much to do with children (or cats) my foster mum thinks I'd be great with both as she thinks I'm all round pretty ""amazing""!
Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me ""no"" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations, because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
