About Gypsy ~ Cattle Dog (on trial 13/8/21)
Hi my name is Gypsy - I am a sweet, happy, medium 1yr old Blue Cattle Dog looking for her furever home.
I have a very happy, loving and affectionate personality and love humans. In my perfect home, my humans can give me lots of attention, belly rubs, cuddles and walks. I want to be
one of the family! I would love a backyard big enough to run around and lots of toys to play with as I don’t like to be bored.
I lived as an only pet for my first year, however I love playing with my foster brother the Border Collie and I’m very friendly to all other dogs I encounter. In fact, when I’m out and about I like to stop and say Hi to other dogs I meet along the way, and am always very friendly and respectful. A playmate in my new home would be ideal! My other foster brother the cat, tends to stay out of my way, which is good as I think I’d like to chase him. I’m not fully tested in this area.
My ideal family would be quite active as I love to go out for walks every day, in areas that are not too busy. I’m still learning that cars are not for chasing, so I can pull on my lead a bit but it’s only cos I’m excited and my foster family say I have been improving everyday! I’m fine travelling in cars though and my favourite destination is a dog friendly beach. I love taking a swim and then rolling around in the sand and shaking it all over everyone. It’s lots of fun.
I’ve grown up around small children, however I get so excited when I see my humans that I jump for joy, and might accidentally knock little ones over. Older children would be preferable.
I’ve always slept outside, however I would like to be welcomed inside for some family time. I am only just learning the etiquette of what’s required of me inside so a little bit more house training is needed, but I’m a smart girl and I learn quickly
