About Hunter
HUNTER is a male Wire-haired Smithfield Cattle Dog with a vet-estimated date of birth of 2 April 2020.
Recently rescued from the pound, Hunter is already showing promise as a companion dog. Although still a little timid, he is a very cuddly boy and likes to snuggle up whenever he has a chance.
The Smithfield Cattle Dog is descended from the English Smithfield, a black and white rough-coated ‘bobtail’ herding dog that originally came from the Smithfield Markets in England.
The Smithfield is a loyal, devoted and courageous dog that loves his family beyond all others. In exchange for his commitment, he needs human company, activity, training and mental stimulation. He will not tolerate isolation or neglect and must be integrated into all aspects of family life.
The ideal owner for Hunter is a committed, active and experienced dog owner, who is around most of the time or who has a compatible dog to keep Hunter company.
Hunter is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped and his adoption fee is $750. He is dog-friendly and appears tolerant of cats.

Hunter lives in Warwick, Queensland and applicants must be prepared to travel to Warwick to meet him.
Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) The "meet and greet" is held in Warwick, Queensland. If successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
