About Roxy
Sweet senior lady
Small Female Maltese x Shih Tzu Mix Dog
Roxy is a lovely older lady with a sweet personality. She enjoys pats and cuddles from adults and children whether she knows them or not, and is quite a placid girl. She loves to lie at your feet or where she can keep an eye out of the window; and will bark briefly at people walking past but nothing excessive. She has been a good girl in care without any toileting accidents. She will take herself outside and toilet on the grass. Roxy travels well in the car although likes to keep her eye on everything outside! She knows a few commands such as sit which she will happily comply with when treats are on offer. She likes to go out for a walk although it not used to a harness and prefers just collar and lead... she is not a strong walker and won't need long, energetic walks. A short walk around the block or to the park will suit her perfectly.
Roxy has been around other dogs with no problems (although may be a little bossy with other dogs around food). She is not overly playful with strange dogs but shows no adverse reactions. She has not ever been around cats and so is untested.
Roxy is a fraction overweight and would benefit from a slight weight drop. She enjoys eating her food, albeit rather slowly! Roxy's coat will need regular and lifelong grooming and clipping.
Roxy likes playing with soft toys and a game of tugger. She is ok with being left for a few hours a day but is always very pleased to see her carer return! a lovely girl who will make someone a perfect companion. Roxy is ready for meets anytime and will be available to adopt after 31 March.
