About Gotham
PLEASE READ ENTIRE PROFILE
Hi, my name is “Gotham”, my foster mum said a superhero is tied to that name and told me she thinks I’m a super hero too. She said I’m one of the BEST boys she has ever fostered and is going to cry when I leave because she loves me so much. I love her too: in fact, I love all humans really. I don’t really mind what size they are, I’m a gentle boy so even though I haven’t been around really small humans my mum said she knows I will be fine with little people. I am a typical shepherd and will let you know if any strangers come to our yard, I can be a little wary of men on first meet until they let me sniff them, then I’m their best friend.
My foster home has other dogs and I get really excited to play with them, I love to give them lots of kisses on the face and play zoomies with them. We also have a cat in our house, she isn’t much fun to be honest, I think she is quite boring because she never wants to play so I just say hello and let her be. Oh, did I say I love toys? Well, I do really love toys (almost as much as humans). I have lots of toys at my foster home, I get different ones to play with all the time.
If you want a super clever boy, I’m the best. I can walk nicely on lead, sit, give my paw, wait for food, wait for door to open, drop, fetch, give, go to my bed, sleep in my crate and I’m toilet trained. My foster mum said I’m a star at learning and said I will be top of doggy school classes.
I really, really, want a family that will take me on lots of adventures like camping or hiking or to watch the kids play footy. I also would love to go to doggy school and maybe even agility, that would be so much fun for me. I don’t want to be left alone a lot because I would miss my people too much and start to wish I was back at my foster home. My foster mum promised me she would find me the best home ever, so I’m a bit excited because I know they will have to be GREAT for her to let me go. If you have a doggy friend for me that would also be great.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.

Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
