About Ace
Ace came in with Archie they had to move and could not find accommodation they could afford that allowed dogs. Archie has already found a loving home. Ace is used to being in a family with children. He is friendly affectionate playful loving dog. He has a rear leg limp due to a past injury which was not seen to properly. We have since sent him to SASH in sydney had his leg operated on and he now has full use without pain. He spent 8 weeks the the carer of the rehabilitation and sports medicine special at SASH and all is well. The old injury does not seem to worry him any more although the leg is 5mls shorter than his normal leg. He had broken his leg originally through the growth plate which had caused the leg to be deformed it is now straight and he gets around without any issues like any normal dog.
Medical notes
Rear leg has old injury, causes a limp when walking. X-ray shows deformed Tibia and Femur.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
