Hello! My name is Coal!
I am a 5 year old Labrador x weighing in at 29 kilos so I'm just a med size fella
Personally
I am a very good and obedient boy. I love to sit down and relax by the window in the sun when resting. I also love my daily walks - at least twice to three times a day. because I'm so spoiled lol When I see the leash, I know it's walking time and I start to wag and shake my bottom in excitement! I absolutely adore attention and belly rubs - from everyone - of all ages! I am a very friendly boy and well mannered who is perfect for every type of home. I am a very very good boy who is an absolute pleasure to foster (even my foster parents agree, I promise!). I will for sure make my future family very happy and relaxed. I'm excited for my new start to life with my new family!
Food
Coal is 3 meals a day with a mix of dry food and Prime 100
Bathing
Coal is ok for a shower but will manage when required but not a huge fan lol
At the beach he was very excited and chased the water but would not go in lol
Sleeping
Coal sleeps anywhere inside that you put his blanket ! Wherever you lay this blanket is where it will go.
In saying that he does like to sneak up on beds in the middle of the night
Exercise
At the moment Coil gets a short walk 3 times a day but this is because he is very spoilt and has his foster family wrapped around his paw lol
He would be fine with a good walk in the morning and then at night a short one
Coal is very strong on the lead and will need further work on lead skills
Coal does bark at other dogs when on walks and if a dog is aggressive towards him he will react with force
We tested Coal with another dog which was a submissive female and he was fine after the initial barking until he could meet her
Based on this we feel that Coal would be suited as an only dog home at this point. We don't feel a dog park would be good for him
His new family will need to work on his socializing skills with gentle introductions with gentle kind dogs
Coal will let you know when he wants to go for a walk by going to the front door and whining
We have not introduced him to cats so have no idea how that would go
Stimulation
Coal does not play with toys
Socialization kids,
Coal would be fine with kids so would suite a home with kids
Travel
Coal is great in the car and loves to go for a drive
Alone Time
Coal can be left for short periods alone with no fuss. He will just sleep in front of the window until you get home.
Coal has been an absolute pleasure to foster. He is such a good boy. We wish him all the best on his search for a new furever home.
