About Rosa
Meet Rosa, a pup with the most soulful brown eyes you have ever seen. Rosa is looking for a family to call her own. She is sweet, gentle, and oh so friendly. Rosa is a wolfhound x and so has all the wonderful traits of the breed while being a more manageable size at 30kg. She is wonderful with dogs of all shapes and sizes including very young puppies. Rosa loves to go for walks or a run with her foster siblings, but doesn't need more than about half an hour of exercise every day. She has a beautiful temperament, though is slightly anxious and shy in new situations.
Rosa is the best of both worlds with the personality of a puppy and the habits of a mature dog. She sleeps through the night, is non destructive, and takes herself outside to relieve herself. That coupled with her playfulness, cuddliness, and desire to please makes her just about the perfect dog and nothing but a joy to be around. While Rosa is quite the gentle girl, she enjoys curling up on top of you and still pulls a little on lead. For this reason she may be a bit too strong for young children.
When Rosa came into foster care it was discovered that she had hip dysplasia. However this is very well managed on anti inflammatory medication and supplements which keep her happy and out of pain.
Rosa would be suited to a household with older children, other dogs, and a family with a semi active lifestyle. If you think you can offer this girl the life she deserves, please fill out an application.
Medical notes
Hip Dysplasia - well managed with anti inflammatory medication and supplements which keep her happy and out of pain.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website https://radarescue.org/adoption
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within two weeks of the adoption.
