About Pac
Pac was purchased as a cattle dog pup by his owner to be her autistic son's companion dog.
They soon discovered that he was far too active, was getting into mischief and needed more exercise than they could give. He was left in the back yard without much training or time spent with other dogs or humans. Then they decided to downsize in accommodation when her husband died so contacted Happy Paws Haven to take him. Since here he has met lots of dogs and people of all sizes and is now very comfortable with them all. He is now sleeping inside at night in a crate which he goes into happily. He is a smart young dog so will benefit for going to a local dog club to continue his socialisation and training. He has a lovely personality and would make a lovely active family dog. He is absolutely fine with people and children.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
