About Maja
This beautiful young Kelpie is Maja but his foster family have been calling him Major and that seems to work fine for him.
Maja is a very active individual and sometimes if he is bored, he finds ways to amuse himself that you might not find super helpful. He loves pats and being your best friend.
He’s good outside during the day and gets along super well with other dogs having been taken to the dog parks often. Maja know how to sit, but sometimes gets a bit jumpy when he’s excited but he’s learning manners. He’s keen to please and has showed no interest in eating his foster family's rabbits even though he could easily jump over their fence.
Speaking of jumping, he might be half Kelpie but he’s actually a bit useless at jumping and needs a run-up to hop in the back of the Outlander. Maja has no leash manners and pull strongly on leash, but I'm sure with some basic training and practice he’ll get out of that.
Maja is super duper strong too and will need a confident handler on the lead at this stage. He might prefer a canine friend to live with as he enjoys hanging out with Petey (see photo) who is trying to teach him some good habits, but if you have lots of time for him and I can be inside with you, he’d love that.
At night Maja sleeps inside with one of the little humans who is eight, and he has only had one or two accidents but he did it on the pee mat provided. He loves children and is super gentle. Maja can't wait to find his forever home with an active family who have lots of time for him.
