Ted

Hi! I'm Ted (but my foster parents call me Teddy 'cause I'm soft, furry and cuddly, just like a teddy bear) I'm a fawn and brown 3 and a half year old Kelpie boy with an affectionate and gentle nature and I like nothing better than hanging out with humans who love me.

I would be a good fit for most families as long as I have my regular daily walks and mental stimulation throughout the day. I'm happy to chill and do my own thing but need a home with another dog or humans for company - I am not suitable to be left alone for extended periods.

Toys and balls aren't my thing yet but I really look forward to my morning and afternoon walks, sniffing out new adventures and I'm learning to walk nicely on a lead. I get along really well with my foster fur buddy and also with the big and small doggie playmates I meet out and about. I especially love times spent with my humans - car rides, lots of pats and rubs and my idea of bliss is a good massage with the grooming brush. Night time sleep routine is not a problem for me. I settle quietly in my own special space inside.

Training sessions are always fun and they keep my mind active. I'm willing and eager to learn, especially with positive affirmations..... and of course treats. YUM!! I'm proud to say that I catch on very quickly. In just a short time I have learned to respond to my name, sit on command, stay and not rush at my food bowl. My foster mum says I'm very smart and learning how to be a real gentleman. There's no limit to what I can accomplish in the years ahead with patience and direction.
