About Harmony - Located in Carlton
Harmony is small, curious, spotted and beautiful. She has a cute pink nose, an expressive tail that wraps around your arm when you pat her, multi-coloured toe-beans, and—from the right angle—a heart-shaped spot on her head.
Being small means she's a little wary of the world, but with some encouragement from a patient human, she'll snuggle her way onto laps and legs. Harmony has some anxiety and ongoing health issues. She needs a home that understands this background and knows how to treat a nervous cat with patience and kindness. She has a medical condition related to inflammation in her gums and will need ongoing medication (delivered in her evening meals) for the rest of her life. Due to these dental issues, Harmony has had all her teeth removed, except two fangs, which she's learning to put to good use!
In terms of diet, Harmony is only able to eat softer foods, but that doesn't stop her being interested in everything that smells edible—she's highly food motivated.
In foster care, little two-teeth Harmony is learning the joys of being the center of attention. She's still a shy cat but is growing more comfortable with the sounds and rhythms of a house. Treated patiently and gently, she'll want to spend all her time following you around, purring on a lap or wrapped up in soft blankets, which is an immediate purr trigger!
She needs a relatively quiet house, preferably one without small children or dogs, and someone who doesn’t mind having a cat sitting on them a lot (or regularly tucking her into her blankets). She also needs someone who is willing to give her love and attention and can care for her ongoing medical condition.
Harmony has had a bit of a traumatic life, and now she wants to be safe and cozy—do you have a warm lap for her to sleep on?

Medical notes
Harmony suffers from Lymphoplasmacytic Stomatitis.
Despite testing the cause of this stomatitis is still unknown.
Initial treatment included the removal of all bar 2 of her teeth as they had been permanently damaged by the inflammation.
She currently requires a low dose of Atopica once daily in her evening meal to control the inflammation and keep her mouth pain free. This medication will be for life.
Please be advised that Harmony's medical costs for 12 months could be approximately $150-300 for medication, $300-500 for a yearly blood tests required when on this medication and at least 2 health checks a year $80-120 (prices dependant on clinic)
