Do you ever think to yourself…I really want a puppy but I am worried that you might lose it in your house? Well Moose might be the answer for you. He’s a big beautiful boy who just wants your love and affection. He will attempt to curl up in your lap, so I hope you have a big one.
He is still a puppy at heart and although he has low energy, he will let you know he wants to play by stealing random things from the house and throwing it around in the yard. Being a giant puppy also means he needs supervision with other animals as he is still learning about personal space. He does go through periods of higher energy. If you’re happy to play with him for 10 minutes he will tire quickly and then have a nap. Ahhhhh…. Puppy life.
He is currently learning basic training and is getting better every day. He walks well on a lead/halti, however can still be reactive to outside stimulus such as dogs and bikes etc. He is crate trained.
Moose can get a bit crazy when it comes to food, as he came to the group underweight and is slowly returning to shape. Supervision at meal times is an absolute must and he should be separated from other dogs during this time.
Moose may be a cross breed but his looks and personality is all Great Dane. Moose will be best suited to someone with big dog/Great Dane experience, who can set firm boundaries and continue with his training.
