Hey everyone, my name is Dot!
I am part of a litter surrendered to OTC under the 'Last Litter' program. My entire litter came in so we could have happy, healthy lives and bright futures. My mum was a staffy x, and my dad was a bulldog x. I am expected to reach 30-35kg as an adult.
I am a sweet, happy girl with a bright personality. My carers have taught me how to sit, wait and come. I love other dogs and am very playful and happy. In the car I will just watch out the window, and I am well behaved at the vet. At home, I like to come inside and be a part of the family. I enjoy sitting and watching tv with my family and snuggling with the other dog here. I have not yet been to dog parks etc as I have only just had my second vaccination.
My house training is going well but like any puppy, I will need you to keep my training going. I am crate trained and usually sleep through the night. I am a really sweet girl who just wants to be with you. I am currently used to carers who work part time, and I get along with the children here really well! I am still figuring out what toys I like... So far my favourite thing is to play with other dogs, or my humans- but I do love Kongs and squeaky toys. I would love to get out for an adventure 3-4 times a week, to run sniff and roll! I would like to be behind a 4ft fence so that as I grow, I am not tempted to escape the yard. Being a young dog, I am going to grow up however you allow me to- so it's important to spend your early weeks with me getting my routine and training down-pat. I am a smart girl who is a keen learner and will make you very happy.
So what do you think? Could I be the one for you?
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following:
- Real estate approval
- Fence requirements
- Outside shelter areas
- Other resident pets fully vaccinated and preferably desexed
- The rescue pet's dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed, age
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet at your home, or in a public place. If you have other pets they must be at the meet. You may be required to travel to the pet; we infrequently have admins available to drive extensive distance and it also says a lot if someone is able yet unwilling to come to the animal they have applied for. If for example you cannot drive, feel free to talk with us about possibility of travel to you.
At the meet if you and the pet get along you have the option of either taking the pet on the spot (in exchange for signed contract and the full adoption fee paid upfront) or placing the pet on hold for up to 2 days with a $100 non-refundable holding deposit. This deposit is then taken off the original adoption fee should you proceed with the adoption. Should you place a hold, we will not proceed other applicants until you have removed your hold or adopted the animal.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold pets without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters, so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit is non refundable to avoid time-wasters. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the pet. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you place a $100 holding fee on the animal- the day you collect the pet you will sign an adoption contract and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $75 is non-refundable.
All animals are adopted out with vaccinations up to date; if for example you are adopting a young animal it may not have had a full protocol yet due to age- so any vaccinations due from date of adoption are the ethical and financial responsibility of the adopter. During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must notify OTC, and present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic we direct you to in your area. OTC will cover any treatment needed at our authorised clinics.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox. (www.facebook.com/offthechaink9)
