About BIlly Big Ears
Our Billy Big ears is ready to go the next step into Foster care!
His story he came in as a community dog with many scars on him & living in not so great conditions.
Basically survival mode!
Never knowing when his next meal was, getting picked on by other dog’s & never been shown love ❤️ except by the people who rescued him x
What he needs:
Home with no other animals
Patience
6 ft fences
Also needs to continue his training
He needs to be desexed as soon as we know when he has carer 💜
With children over 12 years
No other pets for now
Remember AINB supplies dry food, flea tick & heartworm treatment
Vet costs bedding toys etc
Would be best on Southside of Brisbane to have the best support from his trainer Helen from Building Better Dogs

Billy big ears
I’ve been doing a lot of work with him off site to prepare him for the real world outside kennels.
We’ve been going to the shopping centres when they’re crowded, parks at peak times and visiting people.
He is doing amazingly
Been rushed by little kids, chased by a goat, hissed at by geese, weaved through crowds of people, shopping trolleys and etc. He’s handled it all like a little champion and now “checks in” for instruction when not sure what to do.
His lead manners are beautiful both on a halti and front attach harness.
He’s a definite no to free range chickens and cats at this stage.
He’s the type of dog that you could take to coffee shops and for big long walks even in very crowded areas.
He’s not suited to living with another dog but as long as the don’t get in his face or try to get in his business he can be walked with them and in general is quite neutral.
His first choice when dogs are too close is to remove himself but if he can’t get away gets very scared and shows very clear distance increasing behaviour towards them.
He’s probably not suited to young children as he can still be jumpy when scared.
He’s a very quiet boy that rarely barks now. Usually it’s only when in his pen and he needs a toilet break.
He is such a lovely dog. Someone is going to be very very lucky to have him as a part of their family.
Medical notes
Will be desexed as soon as he goes into care.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
