~* FOSTER VIEW TO ADOPT*~
💚🌺 MEET POPPET 🌺💚
Hi, my name's Poppet! I am the sweetest little girl and I was found living on the streets alone & scared. I hadn’t had much contact with nice humans, so when I first arrived at my foster mum’s house… well that wasn’t fun for either of us! I was so scared, I hid and hissed at anyone who came close. My foster mum has made sure I am comfortable and safe - I’ve never had so much food and attention in my life, and I have started to realise it’s actually quite nice! Other friendly kitties in the house have made me feel very safe and welcome too.
I have come on leaps and bounds, and although I am still very timid, I no longer hide from my skin foster family and I am quite happy to lay out on the couch near you or sit on the bar stool across the kitchen bench from you and watch you cook… you never know when a few scraps may come my way! I still haven't let anyone touch me or pick me up just yet, but I will come close and smell your hands and eat in front of you now so it’s just a matter of time before I learn to completely trust my humans.
As I said above, I love to watch and be close to you at all times. It’s a game I like to call, 'stalk my human' 😹 It’s helping me learn how to be a good house cat. I feel I can come out of my shell even more and eventually be part of the family if adopted into a patient, quiet and loving home. Even though this won’t happen overnight, I’m so worth it - I promise!
I love to spend time outside in the cat run and I adore basking in the sun or cuddling up with one of the other resident cats in the house. If it’s really quiet and peaceful you can sometimes find me on the bed having a little snooze!
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I live in a house with numerous other cats and kittens. I really do like being with other cats and would love to be adopted into a home with a friendly feline companion. This will also help me with my confidence and to learn the rules of being a house kitty.
I also currently live in a house with 3 boisterous young boys. I’m happy to be in their bedrooms under their beds or laying on the floor near them. I haven’t played with them yet, but I would never hurt them. I haven’t met any doggos so not sure how I would go - but given my shy nature, I think I’d prefer a doggo-free home for now please.
Likes / Dislikes
I am very easy going where food is concerned, I love anything and everything! I get wet food twice a day and an abundance of biscuits to graze on throughout the day, just incase I get a little peckish!
Of course, I’m the purr-fect house guest and am 100% litter box trained, so big tick there!
My PURR-fect home would have to be with another friendly & confident feline to help me adjust to my new home. I will also need a furever home with patient and understanding humans who will be patient with me whilst I learn to settle into my new surroundings and trust my humans.
