Harris

Harris is a four year old German Shorthaired Pointer mix on the lookout for a new home.

He is a very affectionate and friendly dog who has only ever known a loving home. Harris is great with other dogs of all sizes and enjoys playing and wrestling with his fur friends. He loves going on big walks and currently enjoys 1-1.5 hour walk each day. Car rides are also a source of joy for Harris!

He is a very large dog (40kg) so needs a confident owner preferably with experience with his breed. He would benefit from further training walking nicely on a lead as when his nose gets a sniff of something good, he can’t help but try to follow it! Harris has been an outside dog his whole life so would need patience if his new family wanted him to come inside with them, while he learns the house rules.

Harris is not suited to a home with pocket pets, livestock and cats. He would be fine with teenagers but is a bit excitable and large for small children and he may inadvertently bowl them over.
