Female Beveren Mix Rabbit

On Hold
Pixie was surrendered to the RSPCA Animal Care Centre after her owners realised that rabbits are not as simple to keep as expected.
Rabbits are highly intelligent, highly social animals. They need plenty of toys to play with, and like to have new objects like sticks and boxes to chew on and explore. Rabbits need company too, they develop complex family structures and are just as social as cats and dogs. Pixie has been trialled in a home with other rabbits, where she bullied the girl rabbit and kept picking on her. She was a bit better with the male, but will need to be introduced to other rabbits slowly and a close eye kept on her to make sure she is being nice to her new brother. Rabbits can also be litter trained, so living inside is just like having a cat.
If you are ready for a rabbit, please talk with our friendly staff about their needs and to learn more about the interesting lives of rabbits. Our rabbits are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas, lice, worms and mites.
