About Charlie ~ 1.5yr Old Greyhound X(On Trial 16/10/21)
Meet Charlie. Charlie is an 18 month old greyhound cross. Charlie is a loving and lovable, shaggy pup. He loves running and having zoomies and chewing on his toys. His favourite thing to do of all is to be with you all the time.
Charlie is toilet trained, sleeps through the night, sits on command and waits for permission to eat (although I will always try to get extra food..I’m a growing boy!). Charlie loves walks and is learning to not pull in his excitement. He is great in the car, sitting down and watching the world go by.
Charlie is a large dog and is making up for lost time in the eating stakes, putting on 11kg and 10 cm since coming into care. He will require a family that is prepared to maintain healthy eating patterns and is confident in training and walking large dogs.
Charlie has no concept of his size. He currently lives with 5 medium foster pups and attempts to play with them like he is their size. Charlie curls up on laps as though he is a little lap dog. He would be best suited to a family with children over 12. Charlie will love having a large doggy friend.
Charlie is not suited to a home with cats, chickens or pocket pets.
The perfect family for Charlie would be an active family that will allow Charlie to sleep inside and be included in their family outings. He is happier with his humans around more often than not. Through no fault of his own, he gets anxious when his humans leave him and will need comfort and stability in his new home. He is very resilient but patience will be needed as he gets used to his surroundings.
Please consider your circumstances after lockdown, as we are wanting his forever home to be just that. We ask that you review your lifestyle and acknowledge the commitment it takes to bring a new dog into your home.
For more information, or to meet Charlie please contact his foster carer on their email

Charlie is currently in care in Cessnock NSW.
Charlie’s adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipping.
