√ older child friendly
x no dogs
x no cats or pocket pets
Jack is a real family dog with a gentle nature. He loves his people, more so than other dogs, so would be best as an only-dog. He will need a big-dog-savvy family who can display good leadership.
He is a bit hesitant at first to meet new people but if they are respectful to his space, he warms up quickly. He doesn’t seem to worry about women as much as men. He has been good with children and would be best suited to older children while he is still young and bouncy.
Jack has learnt to come, sit, lay, and understands when you are saying 'no'.
Jack loves having plenty of room to run around and play daily with his family, and he also likes his down time. He settles fast when play is over. He has a medium energy level.
He will need 6-foot secure fences because he is a bit of an escape artist if there are weak spots. Jack is a great watch dog who will alert you if someone is on your property.
The ideal place for Jack would be somewhere with a bit of space for him to run around and not feel boxed in, with a family who will include him in their activities. There should be no cats or small animals in the home.
