About Love
🎀🐕🎀 ATTN: NSW/ACT - PLEASE HELP US FIND LOVE HER FOREVER LOVING HOME. 🎀🐕🎀
Rescue girl Love is looking for her own special family to look after her and her ongoing medical needs.
Love is a ten year old female who just adores her human foster carers. Love came into our care four months ago from the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home as a stray. To say the very least she was in terrible condition and we all had our work cut out for this little bundle of joy.❤
After being picked up, Love was driven straight to our vets for assessment to see if she had any quality of life and if she could live a pain free life.
Love had extreme difficulty in walking as her back legs buckled underneath her and she kept falling over. Her eyes looked sore as did her skin. She had difficulty going to the toilet and she had hearing loss. Our vets at Caring Country Vets - Thirlmere and Tahmoor decided that we should throw everything we could to give her a chance at a new life. So her treatment began.🏥
Four months later and with two surgeries under her belt, and a whole lot of love and care from her two foster families, our sassy rescue Love is ready to find her new life.
Below is what Love will need from her new family:
Love is actually quite low maintenance however will need to be given ongoing medication for life.
Tacrolimus twice daily to help her dry eye. Propalin once a day to continue improving urinary incontinence, and Prednisolone (steroid) to assist her walking.
💟Love will need someone who is home a lot and will give her lots of attention and to help her with stairs, she gets down fine but not up so needs carrying.
💟Love loves to sit and cuddle, no small children as she isn’t too steady on her feet.
💟Love takes herself out to yard to toilet though she will need someone to always follow her to support her back end when pooing and prepared to wipe her after she does wee as she basically sits in it when she is done.
💟Love is fine with younger dogs and cats but not larger boisterous dogs.
Love loves to chase balls even though she stumbles, it never stops her trying. She also loves a morning supervised wrestle with her foster pugs.
Love’s only drawback is the not being able to squat to toilet, other than that she is a perfect older lady with lots of love to give.
While some time and effort will be required from her new family, we promise she will return your help with lots of love and sass. If you believe you are able to provide her with the loving home that she deserves, we would love to hear from you.
