About Phineas
Phineas craves company; he will attempt to travel long distances around the house in search of cuddles. Phineas loves affection and smooches and will snuggle into his humans' laps and happily zone out. Phineas also loves to play with all sorts of toys and climb up onto low surfaces, so he would love his forever family to have a short scratching post (surrounded in padding so when he falls off he doesn't hurt himself).
Phineas likes to do things that an ordinary cat would and is very determined, so he needs to be managed in an environment that is safe for him. As he is very vulnerable, he does not have the ability to run away from things so he must be an indoor cat ONLY. Phineas relies on his people and will build a very strong bond with his forever family. Independently eating, drinking and toileting is not a problem (always in the litter tray), but occasionally makes a little mess and requires cleaning up.
Phineas loves fluffy plush beds that he can burrow into and snooze on in the warmth. If you are looking for a cat that will require more of an investment in time, Phineas will make your life extremely rewarding. Ideally he will need somebody home most of the time and currently has another cat living with him, so with a slow introduction this would work well. He is less confident with dogs and small children and can be startled easily which stresses him out with the lack of the ability to get away like other cats. Phineas would suit a one level house without too many obstacles that he can smack himself into.
**Phineas has a medical condition called cerebellar hypoplasia (also known as wobbly cat syndrome). Cerebellar Hypoplasia (ch) is a neurological condition where the cerebellum is too small or not completely developed. This impacts Phineas's balance and makes him unable to walk more than a few steps without falling over and loosing balance. Although Phineas has severe ch, it causes him no pain and he knows no different. This condition is not fatal and will not get worse overtime but will never go away.
Phineas is located in Moonee Ponds and would love to meet his forever family as soon as possible!
Medical notes
Phineas is healthy, desexed and worm and flea treated.
