Koi =Japanese for Love and she is just that!

Koi is a gentle, intelligent and energetic 8month old Staffy x Kelpie girl. She is eager to please and enjoys training. She responds well to praise and treats. She would suit an active family as she loves her walks and regularly does long walks and has responded well to lead training. She loves company and other dogs, being a puppy she just wants to play. She can cope with being left alone (especially with stimulating toys and hidden treats) for 5-6 hours at a time but if she could have a home with another dog it would help the time pass when away from her new family. She is great with kids from around 5+.

Koi is non- reactive with cats, she just wants to be friends but the resident cat doesn’t like dogs investigating him. They have both sat together with people and share the space well. Koi loves all the people, big and small. She has lovely manners but will stand up with her paws on you to dance with her like this. She is toilet trained. She will also go play by herself with her toys which is really sweet to watch. When she arrived in care she had some pretty noticeable anxiety issues, and occasionally this nervousness shows in a timid and withdrawn way.

She looks a lot like Scooby doo. She can be destructive as she’s still in puppy stage, but it’s nothing crazy maybe a throw cushion here or there or kids toys left laying around (good reason for kids to pack their things away, lol). With more training and lots of love and patience she will settle and be your biggest fan. Koi is loyal and protective, and loves company, she has brought such joy and love to our house, it’s going to be really hard to let this one go.
