Hi. I’m Benji. I’m an 2-year old Jack Russell Terrier. 💖
I’m an energetic, happy and playful boy. I’m looking for an active family that will include me in their everyday lives. I became anxious living in a single dog home with an older lady and became destructive as a result. It has become clear that I was just bored. Therefore, I must have another social dog in my new home and space to run and burn off my energy. Preference will be given to a farm type situation.🐕🐕
Foster dad says I'm a great little guy. I think I'm one of the farm dogs. I'm a good boy around the horses and sheep. I've met the resident cats and understand they are in charge. I'm good with kids too. Oh, and I love a ride on the tractor.
I'm a good boy and sleep soundly through the night outside in the working dog cage. 🤣😂
I’m a very busy and clever boy and enjoy learning new things. It would be great if my new family can spend some time training me to help me be the best boy I can be.
If you can offer me an active home as described above, and are prepared to include me in your daily lives, then please complete the questionnaire and flick foster dad an email and he’ll be in touch.
Love & licks,
Benji 🐾🦴
Medical notes
Vet notes:
"Benji has had X-rays of his neck & spine as he had fallen over a couple of times with his previous owner. They have not shown any abnormalities. He also has two missing toes and a deformed toe on his left hind leg. The X-rays showed that the outside toes are missing from the lowest joint (P1 is still present). They are small, but have a clean removal line. The middle toe has a deviation. It's impossible to say if there was trauma, or if it has twisted due to taking most of Benji's weight. I think this is the reason why he carries the leg at speed, but it is not overtly painful when it is touched. I do not feel that this will adversely affect his quality of life, or need ongoing treatment. There was a mention of stifle pain, but I have not seen this, and both his stifles are normal on X-ray."
"Benji was suffering from anxiety with the previous owner. He no longer needs the prescribed anxiety medication (Trazadone)."
