About Ace
Howlllllooooooo, I'm Ace an 8 month old Blood Hound X who has found myself at BARC in need of an experienced home to call my own.
Being a hound I am super cute, with my droopy eyes and big floppy ears how could you resist... I'm super intelligent and eager to please, however have proven difficult to train due to my desire to put my nose to the ground and go, go go....
I've lots of love to give and am looking for a hound experienced home to assist with my learnings and the things I nose, I mean Know...
Would love to live with kids big enough to play and explore life with and have proven ever so social here at BARC spending my days in play pens with other social canine buddies, so if you have another dog at home perhaps he/she would like to be friends.
Still being a big goofy puppy I need a home that is patient and willing to forgive me if I might chew your favourite slipper or some other cheeky puppy behaviour. As previously mentioned my desire to smell my way around means that I have selective hearing at times and it can be hard to keep my attention, however this would make me an ideal dog for someone wanting to attend scent dog classes or perhaps go out and about truffle hunting.
If you think I may be just the dog you are looking for or perhaps someone in your life has been HOUNDING you to get a dog, then I'm available to meet via appointment at BARC by calling 5441-2209.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
