Hello there, I’m Otso. I’m 5 years old, 32 kg and ready for lots of pats in my furever home.
I currently live with my foster parents, who I like to be around. I have started learning how to use the stairs, and while I don’t love them, I’ll use them if it means I can be near my hoomans. I like pats, but also like my own space. I’m very good at stretching – I can give you a few pointers to improve your yoga downward dog stretch.
My hoomans take me on walks twice a day, and I reserve all my toilet business for those times. I have had no accidents in the house. I’m well behaved on walks, I don’t pull on the lead and listen to my hooman when they tell me to come. I always say there’s nothing quite like a good walk! I am slowly getting used to busy environments and can walk near main roads, but I much prefer quieter areas.
Apart from walks, my favourite thing to do is relax in the sun while my foster parents do their work or watch tv. I also like sleeping in the sun in the boot of the car while my hoomans drive around, and will jump into the car when asked.
I like watching other dogs, especially those around my size. My hoomans have not seen what I am like playing with dogs but they think I will be okay playing with large dogs if introduced to them in a controlled environment.
I really, really, really like food, and I will show great interest in both yours and mine. I will ask you nicely and walk away if you tell me to. Please do not come near me when I getting through large treats or bones, It makes me nervous and jumpy. My hoomans think my furever home should be child free for this reason.
I don’t like being left alone and will require some training to get used to being alone for long periods of time.
I can’t wait to meet my furever hoomans that I can sunbathe with in parks.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
