About Millie
🧡 MAGNIFICENT MILLIE 🧡
“Hey friends, my name is Millie and I’m hoping that my pretty photos might stand out to someone looking to add a sweet little kitty cat to their family. I’ve had a strange life so far after being born in a yard full of vegetables and then finding myself suddenly inside a house with humans! Humans were always so scary to me, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I’ve learnt to trust my foster people and I love to have a chat with them. We don’t know what the other is saying, but I guess the though is nice? I’ve come to love getting back pats, and I’m happy to get a nice stroke each morning. I’m still a little weary sometimes, especially if I hear a loud noise suddenly, but everyone is a scaredy cat at times, are they not!? There is also a dog living here which I’ve made friends with (keep your enemies even closer right!) but I do have to admit I actually really love him. He gives the best cuddles, and he doesn’t mind when my bushy tail swipes along his face. Anyway, when I’m not observing the humans or pestering the dog, you can find me hiding out on my cat post or melting in to the soft, cosy couch. I’m really ready to take that next step in to my forever home.”
Millie is still learning what play is, and also how to affectionately interact with people. She continues to make progress and shows all the great signs we want to see which tell us how comfortable a cat is becoming. Millie is best suited to a quieter home with older children. She would love happily with a dog provided the dog was made to give her space while she adjusts to her new surroundings. Whilst Millie isn’t physically affectionate, she shows love in her own ways and be a loving member of the family in no time.
All adult cats are sent to potential new homes on a one to two week trial after an initial meet and greet before finalising adoption. While adult cats do take longer than this to settle into a new home, it allows a chance to see how the cat is coping with the new environment.
