About Loco
🖤 LOCO NEEDS LOVIN’ 🖤
Meet our quirky friend Loco who was caught from a large colony we have been working on since last Christmas. When we first met Loco, he was very underweight, showing his frail bony figure even from a distance. He was also very frightened to begin with and would have little accidents in his bed, but we are proud to say that our little mate has flourished in foster care and his carer reports little frequent milestones in his rehabilitation. His carer has poured so much love in to rehabilitating Loco that he is now a very proud looking boy with a soft shiny coat and a nice plump tummy! All the things you want to see in a kitty glow-up.
While he has made great progress, Loco has also taken a while to open up to his foster carer and show his adorably quirky personality, from his curious head tilts to his hypo playful moments, he is quite the character! And a very loveable one at that. Loco’s favourite things in life are Churu cat treat bites and Catnip (don’t tell the authorities!). He is content just chilling out on his cat tree and loves to be waited on. Unfortunately, Loco is not a fan of touch and will often retreat or tell you to back off with a swipe when pets are attempted, but this is something that can be worked on, and we expect Loco to improve more and more each day. When Loco isn’t being spoilt with treats and playing with his career, you will find him relaxing somewhere in a cat tree or stretched out on the floor.
Loco is suited to a very calm home where he can be a man of leisure and as such, is only suited to homes with adults or older children. He has not yet been tested with dogs and has shown slow progress in settling with other cats. He is best suited to a cat free home, or a home that is willing to work on slow introductions.
All adult cats are sent to potential new homes on a one to two week trial after an initial meet and greet before finalising adoption. While adult cats do take longer than this to settle into a new home, it allows a chance to see how the cat is coping with the new environment.
