About Frankfurt and Francis
Frankfurt and Francis ❤
This is a Tale of Two Kitties – the lovable boys, fluffy Frank and short-haired Franny (more formally known as Frankfurt and Francis.) Born less than six months ago, the boys are now ready to leave their foster home on The Hill and move to their permanent residence.
The orphan pair, born to a single mum, could have ended up leading a life of crime on the streets of Newcastle if it were not for a kind lady called Brooke. They have been very happy living on The Hill where they have been entertained by the K-Mart cat laser toy, bell-filled balls, run-through tunnels and all sorts of suspended, dangling toys such as stuffed toy mice and feathers of assorted colours. (To be sure, the mice were never alive and the feathers were fake.) Even in the absence of toys, Frank and Franny are quite capable of keeping one another entertained. They love other animals but, like most cats, also appreciate some me time.
Since tiny, the kittens have been handled by caring humans and have, therefore, developed excellent social skills. They enjoy having their heads tickled and their backs massaged. Franny looks for a cuddle and is partial to a tummy or chest rub. Being highly intelligent, they quickly learnt to use the kitty litter and often make their visits in tandem to the litter tray.
A word of warning! Be sure to hop into bed early as Franny is able to monopolise a queen bed. Many cats are adept at doing so on a single or double bed but this is probably a world first! Be sure to look out for his listing in the Guinness Book of Records.
Scouring the supermarket shelves for the food that will suit your cat is not easy with so much choice available. Fortunately, these kitties make your selection simple as they do prefer the grain-free variety.
If Charles Dickens’ words, what greater gift than the love of a cat, come to mind when you read about these boys, just remember that the love will be doubled.
Adoption details
Our adoption process starts with a phone call, an informal chat & organise a time for a home inspection - this is the best way to ensure a good human/cat match. The adoption application is then forwarded to the Foster carer who will call to arrange a meet & greet. All going well you may be able to take your new furbaby home that day.
