√ older child friendly (10+)
√ dog friendly
x no cats, chickens or pocket pets
Hi, I’m Penny. I have lots of energy and love to run and sniff and snuggle and eat! My foster mum calls me a pocket rocket ‘cause I’m small and fast.
I’m still very much a puppy and I’m a very playful girl but I can be bossy. I’ll need a playful non-reactive dog buddy to hang out with or a person I can be with all the time or I will get bored and lonely. I currently live with an older female dog but she’s not very playful so I think she finds me kind of annoying! I’d especially love to have a male play buddy and I also need plenty of chewy toys to keep my teeth clean and my brain occupied. In return I will give you hours of cuddles, loving looks and amusement watching my antics.
Once I’ve had a walk or run and a good play, I’m happy to curl up and sleep for a few hours. When foster mum’s home I really love to sleep on her bed and I’m very quiet while she works.
I like kids, over 10yrs is best as I am very bouncy, I think all food is for me and my teeth are still puppy sharp. I’d be super excited to have a smallish human to play with and snuggle me.
I’m still learning boundaries but I’m very eager to please and will do anything for pats and cuddles. I’m also a super quick learner. Sometimes new things or unfamiliar dogs make me a bit anxious and I bark, but I just need a person to help me understand it’s OK.
I’m mostly toilet trained, I just need to know where to go and be let outside in time. I will go in my crate at night for a treat and happily sleep there, but I prefer to curl up near the family or with my dog buddy.
My lead manners are a work in progress and I’m surprisingly strong for my size so my new family will need to keep working with me on that. I would make an excellent running buddy and I could even help pull you up the steep hills. I am happy to walk on a lead beside new dogs but I can be bossy meeting nose to nose as I don’t have that much experience, so I would love some more training in that area.
I do like to chase things, cats, wallabies, probably chickens too. On the plus side foster mum thinks I would make an excellent mouse catcher …so you won’t need that cat anyway 😊.
I will always warn you if someone comes to the house and am always ready to charm your visitors with my big brown eyes. If you think you can manage this much cuteness in your life, I look forward to meeting you soon.
Love, Penny
