Medium Female Kelpie Mix Dog

On Hold
Pearl is a two year old Kelpie, who was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia; a congenital condition that causes the cerebellum in the brain to not fully develop. The cerebellum is responsible for fine motor skills, so Pearl is very uncoordinated, almost like a puppy learning to walk.
She has not had much training, and is prone to separation anxiety, but in the right hands Pearl will settle down and learn how to be a family dog. Pearl will need to be exercised on lead, as when she runs she tends to falling over, and might injure herself. She will also need a family that is home a lot or has another settled dog she can be with, as she is not used to being alone.
There is no cure for CH, but over time Pearl has learnt to compensate and is living a happy pain free life.
