About Checkers - 8 week old (on trial 27/07/2021)
This is Checkers!
Checkers is one bold little man. He is the first to waltz up to strangers and is decisive and confident in his attitude towards.... well, everything! He has high kitten energy levels so he will require a home with plenty of toys and things to keep him entertained and stimulated. He’s always up for a wrestle with his siblings but plays well on his own as well - we’ve found him numerous times fending off imaginary foes while rolling on his back in a patch of sunlight - he’s quite the little character!
Checkers is a little purring machine and regularly comes looking for pats, pushing his body up against your hand to get the most from your attentions. He is an independent little man but he does like to sit on your lap or perch up on your chest if you are readily accessible.
Being a social little guy we believe he would adapt well to other animals given a little time and is great with kids and adults alike. Checkers is available to a strictly indoor-only home unless you have an enclosure or would like to train this little fellow on a lead!
Checkers is in foster care in Morisset NSW and is ready to find a family of his own. He is available for adoption to an indoor-only home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast Area only, so that he can be returned to a DRN affiliate vet when he is approximately 4 months old for desexing. His adoption fee is $250 which covers his microchipping, first vaccination and desexing.
