Meet Opie!

Opie is a young and boisterous boy who is looking for a new family. He may be best suited to a family that is active and who are able to provide him with lots of love and attention.

He LOVES to play! He's great at fetching and loves any toy you give him. He would love a home that has a large grassy backyard with high fencing, so he has lots of space to do his zoomies. His super-fast so if you blink you may miss him!

Opie is a special boy that craves a lot of attention. During his time in foster, we have found him having a doggie companion has helped him feel more secure. Therefore, Opie must be rehomed with another young and playful dog that will help him settle. Another whippet would also be perfect for him and his play style!

Opie's at his happiest when he's around his humans. So, his new ideal home would be a family that is home more often than not or work from home.

Opie's currently being trained to walk nicely on lead and greet dogs on lead appropriately. Please keep in mind that Opie is lead reactive towards other dogs due to frustration. Opie's new owners will have the opportunity to have a one on one training session which is included in his adoption fee to help his new family set him up for success.

Opie has almost mastered his toilet training. He's such a good boy, he will even wake you up at night when he needs to go outside to toilet.

Opie may be ok to live with older children. Although he cannot be rehomed to homes that currently have small animals such as cats.
