About Sadie
Introducing Sadie!
This lovely young lady is seeking a family who can foster her, with a view to adoption if everyone gets along.
Sadie has just had her first birthday. She is an energetic, excitable, friendly girl with lots of love to give. We're unsure of her exact breeding - a lot of Labrador but maybe something smaller as well, as she has petite little feet and a more slender face.
Sadie has lived with other dogs. She is used to the company of other medium to large dogs and could happily live with a friendly male dog.
She has had some exposure to cats and is not aggressive or prone to chasing- if your cat is comfortable to stand up to her, she will be respectful and sensible.
Sadie has been around children before but she is bouncy and boisterous so will suit older kids or those who are confident around dogs.
Sadie has been an outdoor dog and is not fully housetrained. She loves to cuddle with her people and we would like to find her a home where she can be indoors as much as possible - but she'll just need a helping hand with her toilet training.
She responds to some basic commands but will really thrive with more training.
Sadie can be a bit nervy with new people but warms up quickly and just LOVES to play.
She's a healthy, sprightly young lady who will make a great family dog in the right home.
Her adoption fee is $450.
We are looking to place her asap. You can take her home for a two week foster/trial period then pay the fee and formally adopt her if all goes well.
We will cover the cost of her desexing, vaccination and microchipping but will need you to take her to one of our affiliated vets for her appointment.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please email us at avonvalley@safe.org.au. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
