Ziggy ~ 14 week old female (on trial 25/07/2021)

Ziggy is a bundle of fun filled energy. She spends a good portion of her day wrestling and playing with her animal friends. Ziggy has all the tortie spirit that is so sassy and loveable (tortitude does not equal spicy!)

Ziggy loves pats, chin scratches and cuddling on her humans laps however she doesn’t like being picked up. She can also be a little hand shy if you move too fast towards her.

While she’s still growing in her confidence, we think she’s going to be a cracker cat!

- She is a confident little girl and would probably bring a quieter cat out of their shell.

- Has to inspect everything around the house, especially if it is new - everything is fantastic. Toys, windows, blinds, ability aids.

- She is very happy for you, or any other animal to join in on her tortie adventures. She is cat friendly, she is RABBIT friendly & tolerates a small dog that visits her foster home weekly.

- Ziggy would best suit kids over 5 who can follow instructions on being gentle and not picking her up.

- I think she would be ok as a solo cat, as again, she is a very busy lady with tortie things to do - but she would probably enjoy any other type of living creature in her house.

- Ziggy would be happy for her humans to go to work full time as long as she has plenty to explore while she’s home alone and ideally a friend of any species. Obviously she will request to be worshipped like the DIVA she is, when you are home.

- Ziggy would love to live in a busy house and we can picture her living with teenage kids and other pets.

- Since she is a confident girl with lots of energy, Ziggy would make a good leash walking candidate or would love access to an outdoor enclosure.

- And who can resist that little stripe!

Cats and kittens adopted from Dog Rescue Newcastle must be inside only unless you have a cat enclosure that they can have some outside time in.

Ziggy is in foster care in Maryland and her adoption fee is $250 which covers microchipping, first vaccination, and desexing.
