About Slate - 9 week old male (on trial 18/07/2021)
This cuddle bug lives for cuddles, snuggles and nuzzles. He is full of energy and loves to run around and play with the other kittens and cats but once he’s done he comes searching for the humans in the house.
This little guy is particularly social and requires companionship in the form of another young and playful cat or a human that is home most of the time. He would love to be adopted with one of his siblings!
Slate is currently in foster care with other cats and kittens. He has not been exposed to dogs of children under 10. He is a very easy going guy so with kind and gentle children and cat friendly dogs he would likely adjust easily with a slow introduction.
Slate is in foster care in Birmingham Gardens and is available for adoption to an indoor-only home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast Area only – so that he can be returned to a DRN affiliated vet for desexing when he is approximately 4 months old.
His adoption fee is $250 which covers his microchipping, first vaccination and desexing. The adoption fee to adopt Slate and one of his siblings as a pair is $450.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
