ABOUT
10 year old Lily came into care after being surrendered to vets by her owners for euthanasia after their large dog attached her. She had suffered a broken leg and large bite wounds and her owner was unwilling to treat the injuries. Thankfully, the vet clinic realised what a beautiful cat she was and decided to find a rescue to take Lily on rather than put her to sleep.
After a road trip to an emergency vet for surgery to pin her broken leg, she endured a number of other vet visits to treat her leg as well as to help her overcome infection and upset tummy from the antibiotics. Even though she was no doubt in significant pain (not to mention shock) from her injury, she continued to purr and enjoy a nice pat both before and after her surgery and has continued to do so throughout her recovery.
She settled into her foster home immediately and was perfectly litter trained. As she recovered she grew in confidence and happiness and will continue to do so as she settles into her new forever home. She is a lovely cat that has come through a tough time and is so grateful to have a 2nd chance, showing it with lots of love! She is quite chatty, letting you know if she is hungry or sometimes if she just wants attention.
While she is 10 so is a bit more mature than some, she has lots of life in her, still enjoying burning off some energy with zoomies, playing or following you around the house. But she is also quite happy to just lie or sleep on a high vantage point, next to you or in the sun. And lots of pats!
