About Jessie
Jessie is a sweet, friendly little girl who loves attention and cuddles.
She has had a terrible life but is getting used to her new role as a valued member of the family. She was previously an outside dog with a horrible long term flea allergy. She has been treated and is feeling much better now. She has also had a dental as her teeth were damaged from chewing herself. 12 teeth removed.
Jessie is adjusting to being allowed to live inside and needs to build trust in her new owners so she feels safe and secure. Doggy door would be best. Not suited to elderly as she needs lots of walks and will trip u up gets under your feet.
She is quite sensitive to fast movements and raised voices and thinks she will be in trouble. She needs a gentle approach and positive reinforcement. She knows how to use a dog door but may be afraid that she will be locked outside. She craves affection and laps up all the belly rubs and cuddles she can get. She hasn't had much training but is eager to please.
She has lived with children and could go to a home with dog savvy kids. Untested with cats. She is ok with other dogs but doesn't want to share a home with another dog so would like to be the only pet. She is not suited to older people or people with mobility issues as she likes to dance around under people's feet and is a trip hazard. She just wants to be where you are.
With some training and gentle guidance Jessie will be a great little dog. She deserves a home where she will get all the love she has missed out on in the past.
Jessie is a border terrier x and weights 11kgs.
Jessie is looking for a foster home with intent to adopt. After trial she can be adopted.
Medical notes
Jessie has a flea allergy and will need to be kept free of fleas. Her skin is still recovering so will improve over time with care.
