About Laddie
Meet Laddie, an 8 month old Kelpie x boy. Laddie is a stunning dog with striking green eyes and a red coat and his good looks are matched in equal parts by boisterous Kelpie energy.
Laddie is certainly not the type of dog who will be content after a walk around the block. He will find his own fun if his mental and physical needs are not met. Laddie thrives in training, he loves to chase and play tug and he can go and go.
Laddie requires an experienced working dog home, with plenty of land and preferably another doggy sibling. He would make a great home for someone interested in dog sports, obedience or someone who is after a dog that can keep up with a super active lifestyle. Due to his boundless energy and strong build, Laddie would not be appropriate for a home with young children.
Laddie is crate trained and toilet trained. He knows sit, drop, wave, look, on your bed, roll over and is constantly learning new tricks. He also walks well on a lead. Laddie can be excitable when meeting other dogs initially but is generally submissive and reads behaviour appropriately once he has settled.
Laddie had very little experience with the outside world and had no rules or boundaries in his previous life. With a small amount of training each day he has desensitised dramatically to passers by in the street, other dogs on walks etc. Whatever effort is put into Laddie he will give it back, he has a physical and mental stamina that is impressive, even for a Kelpie.
While he is a far cry from a lap dog, Laddie does love affection from his humans when he can sit still long enough, and would appreciate a home where he can sleep and spend time inside.
If you have the time, energy and lifestyle appropriate for the gorgeous, intelligent, bouncy Laddie, apply now!

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
