About Boo Worthington
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:
https://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/about-vicdrg/adoption-and-foster-application-forms.html
Boo is an absolute sweetheart who melts the hearts of all who meet her. She has had a tough life and is learning that there is a better way. She is so charming, and as she settles into home life and she simply adores everyone she meets!
Boo has so much love to share! She is an enthusiastic snuggler, and is happiest if she can be near you - whether it’s on a neighbourhood walk, a drive in the car, chilling in the sunshine in the backyard, or napping on her bed by your desk if you’re working from home. Boo will come up for a quick pat and to check in on you throughout the day, before comfortably settling back onto her bed.
When Boo first came to her foster home, she was in really bad shape, malnourished and had never been trained. But she is so smart! She is now fully house trained, is great to walk, knows her basic commands, patiently waits for food at all meal times, and is a true delight to have around! Boo is highly treat-motivated, and will be so wonderfully easy to train more advanced skills with her new forever family. Her favourite food is peanut butter!
Boo loves the chance to snuggle into you on the couch after dinner - but always asks first, with a little paw up to check if it’s ok. And when it’s not, that’s fine - she’s straight back onto her bed. She has a real appreciation for comfort!
Boo loves her walks. When she meets other dogs on a walk she stops for a look but is happy to keep walking. Big groups of other dogs can still make her a little nervous. She is now great to walk on either a collar or harness, and where big barking dogs used to scare her, she is now happy to walk on by (with a treat or two to keep her focused!). She is curious, but not difficult at all. You may need to keep an eye on her as you walk though, as the Beagle in her is great at sniffing out snacks on her adventures!
She is great in the car, so if you want to take her out for a sight seeing jaunt, she will be there paws and all! She loves looking out the window and watching the world whiz by.
This beautiful girl is happy to relax at home alone when you’re out running errands, and is always excited to see you when you get home - she doesn't jump up, just runs in a tight little circle at the door - she just loves that you’re back!
Boo’s ideal home is with an adult family with someone home more often than not. She loves those around her, and only wants love in return. A home where she can sometimes share the couch with her family when she is allowed, and is going to get regular pats and cuddles. Boo has so much love to give. Adopting this amazing dog will see your world enriched with fun and love.
Boo does not like cats.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
