I've been adopted!
About Chloe ~ 1.5yr Old Husky X (On Trial 23/7/21)
Get ready, to meet the most amazing pooch you'll ever get to meet! And BONUS, I'm available for adoption right now! My name is Chloe, I'm a 1.5-year-old Husky X Kelpie. I'm a very elegant and regal lady who is looking for her forever home.
I love nothing more than being with my humans, snuggling up, playing, or keeping you within
eyesight. Be prepared for lots of kisses and “stacks on” if I see other family members snuggled up. I love to play with kids, but I get very excited and love to jump up on you to initiate play with nipping so kids over 12 years would be more suitable as I would overwhelm or possibly scare off little people.
Please Note: Chloe will need some further training and guidance about how to interact with children properly. Chloe is not a dog that can just be left and not proactively kept entertained and mind-active. Her habits do intensify If she is left alone too long, and her foster family think it will be improved with stimulation in the form of another dog to play with, combined with an active lifestyle of walks, runs and plenty of playtime with her new family. Her foster parents say she has been a delight to have and provided their family so many laughs and
love to their house.
I am excellently house trained with no accidents. I happily go to the toilet before bed and sleep through the night. I am used to living inside, currently sleeping with my human siblings in my own bed. I also love to be athletic and do epic zoomies around my yard sometimes with flying superdog leaps through the air. My new family would need to be active with a large yard and take me walking or better yet be a running buddy each day to release my energy. I would love another dog or two to play with but hopefully not bigger than me. I am a medium/large sized dog with a long slinky body. Please no apartments, or small suburban courtyards.
Please don’t expect me to bound up to you on our first meeting, I do take my time to warm up to new people in my life especially men, but once trust is established, and I settle into my new surroundings be prepared to wipe away all my doggy kisses. I would love if my new family didn’t leave me on my own for very long. I hope that you would be part-time workers or work from home as I do get quite bored being left alone and can get up to mischief and I will certainly give you a talking to when you return for leaving me.
Advice from my foster mummy - Chloe will need your attention to further her training and
development. She is new to being walked, only going on her first walks with her foster family. She did have a habit of escaping from her harness until her foster family got an escape proof one. Chloe will need an experienced home to enable her to be the best doggo she can be.
Chloe will still try and get out of her harness by doing little backflips to try and bite the lead but after this happily trots off to the next smell. You will need to implement more training to correct this behaviour. She isn’t reactive to other dogs on her walks as she is very focused on smelling anything and everything so plenty of stops to sniff.
Chloe is untested with cats, and pocket pets. Chloe is in foster care in Elermore Vale, NSW (suburb of Newcastle NSW). For more information or to meet Chloe, please contact Melanie by email mellyk210@gmail.com and submit an online application.
